In May, SEAM Corporation issued a request for bids (RFB) on numerical simulations for the Arid Model, a digital earth model representing challenges of land-seismic exploration in desert areas. This is the second RFB for large-scale synthetic modeling issued by the SEAM Phase II consortium on Land Seismic Challenges. SEAM expects to issue an RFB for the third Phase II model, the Foothills Model, before the end of the year.
