Annual Activity Reports, the fundamental component of the Student Chapter Excellence Program (SCEP) and the $5,000 Best Student Chapter Award launched in 2012, are an annual celebration of achievement for SEG Student Chapters. To gain an in-depth understanding of how to write an effective Annual Activity Report, the University and Student Programs (USP) Department interviewed representatives from the three finalist Chapters: Tymon Skrzynik, president, AGH University of Science and Technology, Poland; Florian Motz, president, Student Geoscientific Society Berlin and Potsdam, Germany; and Adriana Sirbu, president, University of Bucharest Geophysical Society, Romania. Although there can be only one official winner, all three of the 2013 finalists successfully used the Activity Report to highlight their Chapter's most important accomplishments and commitment to the growth of the geosciences industry.
