Urban Employment: Prospects for Year 2000s

This article studies urban employment in an aggregative fashion. It uses published data wherever available and makes projections based on certain explicitly stated assumptions. What is important is not magnitude of the parameters but the manner in which these parameters can be put together in order to understand the inter-relationships surrounding the problem of urban unemployment. The article ends by making concrete observations in regard to employment, growth, and industrialization.
