Objective The aim of this study was to describe a case of advanced juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma from our practice and discuss the controversies of surgical treatment. Method We present a 13‐year‐old boy who underwent external resection of advanced juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma at the Gazi University medical faculty otorhinolaryngology department, in 2012. Results No complication was seen after surgery. Postoperative radiotherapy was given for small residual tumor. Conclusion Surgical treatment is the basic tactics in management of advanced juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma. Stage of the tumor is the main factor contributing to the choice of the appropriate surgical approach.
