This research is geared at exploring the gender disparities and empowerment of women in modern day Turkey. Since the creation of the Turkish Republic, various reforms have been put in place in a bid to promote the cultural and socioeconomic development of women. With the onset of these reforms, Turkey still has a major challenge, which is gender inequality. The aim of this research is to look at the gender gap that exists in Turkey; using women’s empowerment as a point of emphasis. This research will study gender disparity by adopting Turkish Statistics Institute data and applying binary logistic regression. The results gotten from this research will show that being in labor market is crucial to the empowerment of women. This study also reveals that women working in some job fields have a greater chance at empowerment.
