Pretreatment lesion size on diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) is a risk factor for symptomatic intracerebral hemorrhage (sICH) associated with thrombolytic treatment. Here, we investigated whether the Alberta Stroke Programme Early CT Score (ASPECTS) applied to DWI images (DWI-ASPECTS) predicts sICH risk accurately.
