Dr. Vittorio Puddu was closely associated with Dr. White for over twenty-five years, beginning when they both were elected members of the First International Council of Cardiology, later to become the International Society of Cardiology, of which Dr. Puddu is the current president. He also serves as director of the Cardiac Department of the Hospitals of Rome, Italy. The following are his remembrances of Dr. White presented at the Memorial Service.
