Intra-arterial injections of bradykinin, kallidin, and eledoisin produce qualitatively similar digital vascular responses. These responses are interpreted as indicating closure of the arteriovenous anastomoses. In these studies eledoisin was twice as effective in producing an increase in total digital volume as either bradykinin or kallidin.
