MEASUREMENT of the inferior vena eava during life, has not to our knowledge, been previously reported. Review of a large series of intravenous angioeardiograms with reflux filling of the inferior vena eava forms the basis of this paper. In many of the angiocardiograms the diameters of the inferior vena eava and the superior vena eava could also be compared. This report establishes values for the diameter of the inferior vena cava in normal and diseased conditions.
