Studies of atrial septal defect have considered the total pulmonary blood flow and the contribution to the left-to-right shunt made by each lung. No studies have been reported of the separate flows through the 2 lungs. The present study in 25 cases was planned to investigate the differential pulmonary blood flow by bronchospirometry.
