Include four clearly identifiable areas of content: Objective: the purpose of the research Materials/Subjects and Methods: description of the materials, animals or subjects, basic design, procedures and the analytical techniques including a brief description of statistical analysis Results: major findings and their importance Conclusion: significant finding(s) and implication of the finding(s) Short Communications 150 word limit. Include four clearly identifiable areas of content: Objective: the purpose of the research Materials/Subjects and Methods: description of the materials, animals or subjects, basic design, procedures and the analytical techniques including a brief description of statistical analysis Results: major findings and their importance Conclusion: significant finding(s) and implication of the finding(s) Case Reports 100 word limit. Include three clearly identifiable areas of content: Objective: the purpose of reporting this case Clinical Presentation and Intervention: a brief description of the case including diagnosis, treatment, final outcome and clinical importance Conclusion: significant finding(s) and implication of the finding(s) Review Articles 250 word limit. Not structured (do not include identifiable areas of Objective, Subjects/Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusion). Summary of the review, including what is known, what is new, and the significance of the review. Mini Reviews 100 word limit. Not structured (do not include identifiable areas of Objective, Subjects/Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusion). Summary of the mini review, including what is known, what is new, and the significance of the review. Arrangement Text: Manuscripts should be double spaced using 12-point Times New Roman font. The pages of the manuscript should be numbered sequentially starting with the title page as number 1. Major section headings should be bold; subheadings should be italicized only. In-text citations should be numbered consecutively in the text using Arabic numerals placed in [square brackets]. Page breaks should separate the title page, significance of the study, abstract, and the body of the manuscript, which begins with the Introduction and ends with the Conclusion. Acknowledgements (if any) should be on a separate page following the Conclusion of the body of the manuscript. The reference list should be put below on a separate page (see format for references below). Any tables (including their headings) should be placed after this on a separate page. The page with the figure legends should appear after the tables on a separate page. Each figure should be on a separate page. Abbreviations should be explained the first time they appear in the abstract and in the text. The use of acronyms is discouraged. Generic names should be used. Scientific measurements should be given in SI units. Any statistical procedure used should be either described in detail or supported by references. The actual calculated p values should be given. Tables: • Do not incorporate tables in the main text. • Tables must be numbered using Arabic numerals (e.g. Table 1, Table 2). • A table should consist of a title, a table head, and a body and, if necessary, footnotes. Use a line to separate these parts. • Do not use spaces in tables, use the tabulator. • Edit operation data (e.g. 15.1 × 7.23) into one line in the same column. • Do not use boldface, italics or shading in the tables. • Each table must be cited in the text numerically. • Tables should be in Word format. Illustrations: Figures must be numbered using Arabic numerals (e.g. Fig. 1, Fig. 2) and included in the document file, and they should also be submitted as separate files according to the instructions below. Figures require a legend, which must provide sufficient information to stand alone. Each figure must be cited in the text numerically. Whenever possible, group several illustrations in a block for reproduction (maximum size 180 × 223 mm). b/w halftone and color figures must have a final resolution of 300 dpi after scaling to final size, line drawings one of 1,200 dpi. Color figures must be in RGB format. All figures should be in a common format such as JPG, PSD, TIF, PNG, EPS, or WMF. Vector graphics should be in PPT, AI, or EPS format. Do not send as a PDF. Multimedia Files: Multimedia files should be submitted in a separate file with the original manuscript and with all subsequent submissions. Multimedia material must meet production quality standards for publication without the need for any modification or editing. Acceptable files are MPEG, AVI, or QuickTime formats. Supplementary Material Supplementary files enhance a publication. Supplementary files (directly relevant but not essential to the conclusions of the paper) will undergo editorial review and should be submitted in a separate file with the original manuscript and with all subsequent submissions. The Editors reserve the right to limit the scope and length of the supplementary material. Supplementary material must meet production quality standards for publication without the need for any modification or editing. Files should not exceed 10 Mb in size. Figures and tables must have titles and legends and all files must be supplied separately and named clearly. Acceptable files and formats are Word or PDF files, Excel spreadsheets (if the data cannot easily be converted to a PDF file), and multimedia files (MPEG, AVI, or QuickTime formats). All supplementary material should be referred to in the main text. References In-Text Citations: References should be numbered consecutively in the text using Arabic numerals enclosed in [square brackets]. References should be listed in the order in which they are cited in the text. Manuscripts accepted for print and online publication may be cited with the DOI. Write the last names of the authors followed by the initials with no punctuation other than a comma to separate the names. When there are more than three authors write only the first three names followed by et al. The final name or et al should be followed by a colon and the title of the article with only the first word capitalized (lower case for the remainder of the title). List the standard abbreviated name of the journal, the year of publication, the volume, and the complete range of pages. Use abbreviated journal names according to the Index Medicus system.
