Cancer-related pain is a common problem that may be intractable by medical and neuromodulatory treatment. The dorsal root entry zone (DREZ) is a hyperactive focus in neuropathic pain syndromes, and DREZotomy has been used in selective cases of neuropathic cancer pain.
