Estrogen deficiency induces myocardial contractile dysfunction and increases cardiovascular disease risk. However, the mechanism underlying this response is unclear. Our aim was to investigate whether AT(1)receptor blockade would prevent ovariectomy-induced myocardial contractile dysfunction.
