In 3176 patients, psoriasis occurred for the first time, and 2547 had a recurrence. Out of 467,215 dermatological patients, 1.22% (5,723) patients were psoriatic, with peakinflux in 1994 for outpatients, and in 1991 and 1995 for inpatients. Only inpatients were analyzed in detail: mean age was 37.33 years (1–76 years), mean age at onset was 27.49 years in males and 26.93 in females. In 1994 there were (34.84%) females and 3729 (65.16%) males treated. This article also presents statistical data of clinical characteristics.
