A textural analysis was carried out to explain the cause of the planar anisotropy of r-value of cold rolled plain extralow-carbon steel sheets. For a detailed analysis, a model for calculating r-values from ODF-data of texture was applied and the influence of each or a group of crystal orientations of the recrystallization texture on the planar anisotropy of r-values was studied.
