The choice of the particular angular parameters( Ψ , ω , ζ )used in the vector method of texture analysis is justified and the relstionships for expressing any ideal orientation( Ψ , ω , ζ )in terms of (hkl) [uvw] and vice versa are given. Examples of orientation distribution are presented with constant sections of each of the three angular parameters.
