Program for Calculation of Augmented Jacobi Polynomials

The augmented Jacobi polynomials, designated Z ℓ mnby Roe, or the closely related generalizedLegendre functions,P ℓ mn( cos ⁡ ϕ )of Bunge, are requiredfor series expansions of the crystalliteorientation distribution. The problem of publishingextensive tabular information has limited compilationof these functions to certain crystal and physicalsymmetries. This paper gives a brief descriptionand listing of a computer program which permits calculationof Fourier sine (m–n odd) or cosine (m–neven) series expansions ofZ ℓ mn( ξ )for ℓ = 0 , 1 , … , 32 ; m = 0 , 1 , … , ℓ ; n = 0 , 1 , … , ℓ .
