The maximum entropy method (MEM) was applied to the determination oforientation distribution functions (ODF) of hexagonal materials. It shows that theODF determination may be treated as a standard problem of the MEM. Twoexamples, which confirm the preferable applicability of this method and thereliability of its results, are presented.
