Chan (2004) considered a certain continued fractionexpansion and the corresponding Gauss-Kuzmin-Lévyproblem. A Wirsing-type approach to the Perron-Frobenius operator of the associatedtransformation under its invariant measure allows us to obtain anear-optimal solution to this problem
