We consider the internal stabilization of Maxwell's equationswith Ohm's law with space variable coefficients in a boundedregion with a smooth boundary. Our result is mainly based on anobservability estimate, obtained in some particular cases by themultiplier method, a duality argument and a weakening of normargument, and arguments used in internal stabilization of scalarwave equations
