We introduce the concept of almost semiprime submodulesof unitary modules over a commutative ring with nonzero identity. We investigatesome basic properties of almost semiprime and weakly semiprimesubmodules and give some characterizations of them, especially for (finitelygenerated faithful) multiplication modules
