The (G′/G)-expansion method and the symbolic computation system Mathematica are employed to investigate the coupled Schrödinger-Boussinesqequations. The hyperbolic function solutions, trigonometric function solutions, and rational function solutions to the equations are obtained. The decaying properties of several solutions are analyzed
