Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) is used to optimize dosing that maximizes therapeutic benefit while minimizing toxicity. In the treatment of active tuberculosis (TB), TDM is not routine, yet low levels of anti-TB drugs can be associated with poorer treatment outcomes.
