This Schiff base ligand, 4-[(2-hydroxyphenylimino) methyl]benzene-1,3-diol (HIBD) was synthesized by reaction of 2-aminophenol and 2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde. The ligand was characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR and 1H-NMR. Electrochemical behaviors were investigated on the glassy carbon electrode (GC) surface with cyclic voltammetry (CV).
