Medically refractory occipital neuralgia (ON) has been treated with a variety of neuroablative procedures. The present case report supports the effectiveness of ventrolateral partial rhizotomy (pVL-DREZ) of the C1 to C3 cervical dorsal roots, a relatively unknown procedure.
