Disordered lattices are discussed in terms of the spacing between adjacent atoms. Thisdiscussion is based on the randomness of the above spacing and on the crystalline potentialby assuming a one-dimensional solid. Our theoretical considerations are useful tostudy certain aspects of amorphous semiconductors
