Absolute rate constants for HO 2 + NO and NH 2 + NO reactions were measured by a photoionizationmass spectrometry coupled with a laser flash photolysis. HO 2 and NH 2 radicals were photoionized byan Ar resonance lamp and were detected as their parent ions ( HO 2 + and NH 2 + ). The rate constants weredetermined to be K (HO 2   +   NO ) = ( 6.5     ±   2.0 )   10 − 12cm 3molecule − 1s − 1K (NH 2   +   NO ) = ( 1.9     ±   0.3 )   10 − 11cm 3molecule − 1s − 1Both rates are consistent with those previously reported.
