With improved instrumentation and endoscopic techniquecoupled with the pre-injection of an adrenaline/sclerosant mixture, nearly allpedunculated polyps can be rapidly and relatively easily removed. Only a fewvery large broad-based or sessile polyps require referral to the surgeon; even someof these can be managed endoscopically if the patient is unfit or unwilling forsurgery, but willing to undergo multiple repeat endoscopies
