Magnetohydrodynamical separation has been developedin the eastern bloc with apparent success but haslargely been ignored by western science. Here a simple, theoreticalexamination of the technique is undertaken and its potentialfor particle separation is demonstrated to a degreethat poses the question – why has this technique not been fullyexplored in the west?
