This is another part of my continuing revision of the dacetine ant genus S$rumigenys. Here are discussed three species of the szalayi group, one of which is described a.s new. The other species of the group will be treated in a later paper in the series. The abbreviations for measurements and proportions are explained in previous parts of the revision: see Psyche 60:1 (1953). Deposition of certain types is indicated by capitals in brackets as follows" United States National Museum [USNM], Museum of Comparative Zoology, Harvard University [MCZ].
