The d r i p p y r o l y s i s p ro c e s s w ith YSZ s o l was developed f o r p re p a r in g th e anode powder. The use of th i s p rocess en ab les h igh d i s p e r s ib i l i t y o f YSZ in N iYSZ anode. F u rth e rm o re , a p p l ic a t io n o f (Ni,Mg)0-YSZ f a b r ic a te d by t h i s p ro cess to th e anode m a te r ia l has succeeded in im proving o v erv o ltag e c h a r a c t e r i s t i c s of th e anode. The e le c tro c h e m ic a l o v e rv o lta g e 7? o f th e (Ni,Mg)0-YSZ anode was 20mV a t a c u r r e n t d e n s i ty of 300 mA/cm2 , much s m a l le r th a n t h a t o f t h e Ni-YSZ an o d e . The (Ni,Mg)0-YSZ anode was c h a r a c te r i z e d by f in e ly porous Ni p a r t i c l e s and very d i f f e r e n t from th e Ni-YSZ anode in m ic r o s t r u c tu r e . T h is s t r u c t u r e con t r ib u te s to im proving th e overvo ltage c h a r a c te r i s t i c s .
