The Video History System (VHS) manages a user’s personal viewing history and provides mechanisms for quick navigation. Playback is controlled with familiar tools such as play/pause/seek, and previews are arranged as a filmstrip (left). As the user watches video, the VHS records each interval viewed. The history is then visualized in one of two ways: as Video Tiles (centre) or as a Video Timeline (right).
