The high transverse momentum pion and jet productions in proton-proton collisions are investigated based on the large and small fire-balls presented by the analyses of cosmic ray experiments. Using the hypothesis of the large fire-ball decaying into pions via the small fire-balls we can show satisfactory fits to the ISR data on the two pion correlations and jet structures, as well as the inclusive one pion cross sections, for pT≲6 GeV/c.
