An approach based on the kernel methods for capturing the nonlinearinterdependence between two signals is introduced. It is demonstrated that theproposed approach is useful for characterizing generalized synchronization witha successful simple example. An attempt to choose an optimal kernel parameterbased on cross validation is also discussed.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure
