The vector manifestation (VM) was proposed as a novel manifestation of chiralsymmetry in which the massless vector meson becomes the chiral partner of pion.In this write-up, I briefly summarize the following main ingredients toformulate the VM in hot and/or dense matter: Effective field theory (EFT) basedon the hidden local symmetry; Wilsonian matching between the EFT and QCD;Intrinsic thermal and/or dense effects.Comment: 10 pages, no figures. Talk given at Finite Density QCD at Nara, July 10-12, 2003, Nara Prefecture Public Hall ``Big Roof'', Nara, Japa
