The Anderson model in a superconductor is investigated on the basis of a variational theory proposed by Y oshiinori for a normal metal. The depression of the order parameter and the critical concentration are calculated in the ground state. They do not show any discontinuities nor drastic change near the transition region between the magnetic and the non-magnetic states. Their behavior qualitatively agrees with experiments made for superconductors containing transition-metal impurities.
