energies using the amplitudes. The results are consistent with the data. Moreover, the rcrc s-wave scattering lengths are estimated. The results are consistent with those of current algebra. It is shown that the contribution from a non-Veneziano amplitude is not negligible even at low energies within the present model. It is also shown that the present model ap proximately fulfills threshold unitarity.
