Using the continuous moment sum rule it is found that the third vacuum pole P" is im portant for the forward proton Compton scattering, and the residue of the fixed pole at J =0 is also estimated. The third vacuum pole P" has zero intercept ap"(0)~-0.5. The prediction of the high energy total cross section is consistent with recent experimental results.
