which is derived from the diagonal matrix element with the seniority v=O or v=1 according as n=even or n=odd. The parameters a, b, c are expressed1l in terms of matrix elements of the two-body interaction V. In this note, let us derive a correction term to the expression (1) due to the seniority mixing. By use of the secondorder perturbation method, the contribution from the seniority mixing is expressed as
