The unsubtracted Chew dispersion relaions are reinterpreted as the approximate equations for low-energy pionnucleon scattering, with the addition only of the invariant momentum transfer function (K/sup 2/), in which the effect of the pion-pion interaction is partially included. Using these dispersion relations. the effects of the pion-pion interaction to the pion-nucleon scattering are discussed. (auth)
