Enterobacter cloacae , a common pathogenic bacterium, is a Gram-negative bacillus. We analyzed the draft genome ofEnterobacter cloacae subsp.cloacae strain 08XA1 from the feces of a giant panda in China. Genes encoding a β-lactamase and efflux pumps, as well as other factors, have been found in the genome.
