TheFlavobacteriaceae bacterium strain P7-3-5 was isolated from intertidal sand of the Yellow Sea, China. Analysis of the 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain P7-3-5 formed a distinct phylogenetic lineage within the familyFlavobacteriaceae. The genome of strain P7-3-5 was sequenced to facilitate the physiological, ecological, and evolutionary studies of the bacteria within the familyFlavobacteriaceae .
