Klebsiella pneumoniae is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped, nonmotile, and opportunistic pathogenic species with clinical importance. It is a part of natural flora of humans and animals. Here we report the draft genome sequence of the type strain ofKlebsiella pneumoniae subsp.pneumoniae (DSM 30104T ) to provide taxonomic and functional insights into the species.
