Bcep22-like phages are a recently described group of podoviruses that infect strains ofBurkholderia cenocepacia . We have isolated and characterized a novel member of this group named DC1. This podovirus shows many genomic similarities to BcepIL02 and Bcep22, but it infects strains belonging to multipleBurkholderia cepacia complex (BCC) species.
