We report the detection ofSalmonella carryingbla CTX-M in U.S. livestock populations. We identified 12 of 2,034 (0.6%)Salmonella isolates originating from turkeys, horses, and pigs from at least 6 U.S. states, all carryingbla CTX-M-1 , many on a pandemic sequence type 1 IncN plasmid.
