Several vectors that facilitate stable fluorescent labeling ofBurkholderia pseudomallei andBurkholderia thailandensis were constructed. These vectors combined the effectiveness of the mini-Tn7 site-specific transposition system with fluorescent proteins optimized forBurkholderia spp., enabling bacterial tracking during cellular infection.
