This study aimed to investigate the genetic characteristics, antibiotic resistance patterns, and novel mechanisms involved in fluoroquinolone (FQ) resistance in commensalEscherichia coli isolates. TheE. coli isolates were recovered from a previous clinical study and subjected to antimicrobial susceptibility testing and molecular typing.
