In this study, we demonstrate that PBTZ169 exhibits significant differences inin vitro activity against multipleMycobacterium species. The amino acid polymorphism at codon 387 of decaprenylphosphoryl-beta-d -ribose oxidase (DprE1) can be used as a surrogate marker forin vitro susceptibility to PBTZ169 in mycobacteria.
