Thein vitro activity of DX-619, a new des-F(6) quinolone, againstanaerobic bacteria was evaluated. DX-619 showed potent activity againstBacteroides ,Prevotella ,Fusobacterium ,Micromonas ,Actinomyces , andClostridium spp., with MIC50 s/MIC90 s of ≤0.03 to0.25/≤0.03 to 1 μg/ml, respectively. DX-619 was alsoactive against imipenem-resistantBacteroides spp., withMIC50 s/MIC90 s of 0.25/1 μg/ml,respectively.
