In an age of shrinking budgets and the requirement that proposals identify the complete program evolution from scientific concept to manufactured product, partnerships are being encouraged to both share and leverage existing capabilities and facilities. This paper summarizes the acoustic expertise and support services available at NUWC and identifies possible ways of cooperation with other interested parties to develop new products while encouraging basic research in underwater acoustics.
